Speak Life

Good morning !!!

It’s Word and Worship Wednesday! 🙌 Today is our fasting day, where we intentionally seek God, quiet the noise, and realign our hearts. Join us tonight at 6 PM in the sanctuary for Bible Study! Bring a friend—we’re growing and learning together!

One of the biggest struggles during fasting? Controlling our tongue. When we’re hungry, tired, or frustrated, our words can slip into negativity real quick. But today, let’s use our fast as an opportunity to speak differently.

Today’s Foundational Scripture: James 3:5-6… Let’s dive into the word

Start your day with God… read James 3:1-12 focusing on 5-6. Likewise, the tongue is a small part of the body, but it makes great boasts. Consider what a great forest is set on fire by a small spark. The tongue also is a fire, a world of evil among the parts of the body. It corrupts the whole body, sets the whole course of one’s life on fire, and is itself set on fire by hell. Your tongue is a match- use it to light up the world not burn it down. S.O.A.K… much love!!!

James gives us a serious warning—our words can either build or burn. One small spark can ignite destruction in our relationships, our mindset, and our future. But the good news? We have the power to control the flame.

Life Principles for Today’s Fast:

1. Fast from Negative Talk – As you fast from food, also fast from complaining, gossiping, or negative self-talk.

2. Speak God’s Word Over Your Life – Instead of saying “I can’t,” declare “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me” (Philippians 4:13).

3. Bless Someone With Your Words – Encourage a friend, co-worker, or family member today with a text or phone call.

Worship Song for the Day:

“Speak the Name” by Koryn Hawthorne – https://youtu.be/mPCBz2YSGo4?si=p2h5y5MBp9CRdtVF

Let this song remind you that the name of Jesus is the most powerful word you can ever speak!

Your tongue is shaping your future. Speak wisely. See you at 6 PM for Bible Study!

Pray this prayer with me today: Lord, set a guard over my mouth today. Let my words bring peace, joy, and encouragement to those around me. In Jesus name~Amen.

Much Love 💕
