Good morning !!!
It’s Word and Worship Wednesday! Today is our fasting day, a special time to set aside distractions and focus on growing in maturity and giving God everything we’ve got.
Please note: There will be no Bible study tonight, as Overseer will be speaking at Central Regional High School for Black History Month. Reception at 6:30. Program 7-8PM. We’d love for Pathway to show up strong and support our Overseer—bring a friend and join us!
On Sunday, we were reminded to grow up in Christ and rid ourselves of malice, deceit, hypocrisy, envy, and slander. These hindrances stunt our growth and prevent us from becoming the mature church God desires.
Today’s Foundational Scripture: James 1:4… Let’s dive in!
Start your day with God… read James 1:2-8 focusing on 4. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. Maturity isn’t just about endurance— it’s about letting perseverance perfect you into God’s Masterpiece! S.O.A.K… much love!!!
Maturity doesn’t come overnight—it’s refined through trials and solidified through perseverance. Sometimes, God allows us to go through challenging seasons to develop a stronger, more resilient faith. He is not punishing us—He is perfecting us!
Practical Steps for Today’s Fast:
1. Examine Your Heart: During your fast, ask God to reveal any immaturity—whether it’s impatience, negativity, or unkindness.
2. Surrender to the Process: Trust that what you’re going through is building character and producing spiritual maturity.
3. Encourage Someone Today: Send a positive message or prayer to someone. Mature believers lift others up!
