On Sunday, Overseer delivered a powerful message titled “Don’t Throw Away the Stone” from 1 Peter 2, challenging us to give God everything we’ve got and to mature in our faith. God is calling us to grow up and leave behind malice, deceit, hypocrisy, envy, and slander.

Today’s Foundational Scripture: Ephesians 4:14-15… Let’s dive in!

Start your day with God… read Ephesians 4:7-16 focusing on 14-15. Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of people in their deceitful scheming. Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will grow to become in every respect the mature body of him who is the head, that is, Christ. Maturity means standing firm- no more being tossed by life’s waves, but anchored in truth and love! S.O.A.K… much love!!!

God desires for us to mature spiritually, moving from spiritual milk to solid food. Maturity in Christ means:

• Stability: No longer being swayed by circumstances or opinions.

• Truth in Love: Being able to address situations with grace and honesty.

• Unity and Growth: Becoming a strong, mature body of believers who reflect Jesus in all we do.

Practical Steps to Mature in Christ:

1. Be Intentional in Prayer: Make it a habit to ask God for wisdom and growth daily.

2. Watch Your Words: Choose words that build up, not tear down. Avoid gossip and slander.

3. Serve Wholeheartedly: Give God your best effort in everything—whether at church, work, or home.

Let’s commit to being a mature church that stands firm in faith and gives God our very best.

Pray this prayer with me today: Lord, help me to grow up in my faith. Teach me to let go of immaturity and embrace the fullness of who You’ve called me to be. In Jesus name~Amen.

Much Love 💕
