Worship Isn’t Cheap-But It’s Always Worth It!!!

Worship Will Cost You Something…

Good morning!!!

What a word we received on Sunday from Pastor Warren McKnight—“A Set Up for Worship.” We were reminded that true worship isn’t just a moment, a song, or a feeling—it’s a lifestyle that will cost you something. Just like the woman with the alabaster box poured out something valuable, so must we.

Foundational Scripture: 2 Samuel 24:24 (NIV) Let’s dive into the word…

Start your day with God… read 2 Samuel 24:18-25 focusing on 24. . I will not sacrifice to the LORD my God burnt offerings that cost me nothing. Real worship cost something- if it’s cheap, it’s not a sacrifice. S.O.A.K… much love!!!

King David understood that real worship isn’t convenient—it’s sacrificial. Whether it’s your time, your praise, your vulnerability, or your surrender, worship comes with a cost. But what you give up is nothing compared to what you gain—intimacy with the Father.

Practical Ways to Live Out Costly Worship:

1. Give God your time first. Before the world pulls at you, give Him your first 15 minutes of the day in prayer, Word, or worship.

2. Let go of your pride. True worship involves humility—don’t worry about who’s watching when you praise.

3. Surrender something today. Whether it’s fear, control, or comfort—place it on the altar. Worship is saying, “God, You’re worth more than this.”

Whatever your worship costs—your time, tears, or trust—God will always meet you in the sacrifice. Don’t hold back.

Pray this prayer with me today:

Lord, help me to offer You a worship that costs me something. Teach me to pour out my heart in ways that honor You. In Jesus’ name, amen.
