Lost & Found-Your Identity in Christ
Good morning !!!
Have you ever walked into a room and forgotten why you went in there? 🫠One minute, you’re on a mission, and the next, you’re staring at the fridge like it’s about to remind you. Life has a way of making us forget things—including who we truly are.
On Sunday, Overseer reminded us not to lose our identity, and that message hit home. Too many of us have let situations, failures, or even people redefine who we are. But today, let’s refocus on what God says about us.
Today’s Foundational Scripture: Isaiah 43:1… Let’s dive in…
Start your day with God… read Isaiah 43:1-5 focusing on 1. But now, this is what the LORD says— he who created you, Jacob, he who formed you, Israel: “Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; you are mine. You are not forgotten, forsaken, or a failure- you are chosen, redeemed and His! S.O.A.K… much love!!!
This verse is powerful because God is making a statement: You belong to Him. Your mistakes don’t define you. Your struggles don’t define you. Your identity was established by the One who created you, not by the things you’ve been through.
Eye-Opening Points to Remember:
1. God Created You with Intention – You’re not an accident. You were handcrafted by God Himself with purpose and love.
2. Your Name Matters to God – He calls you by name, not by your past. Your identity is not “failure,” “not good enough,” or “unworthy.” You are His.
3. Redemption Means Restoration – No matter what has happened, God redeems and restores. He doesn’t throw away what He created—He refines it.
Practical Steps to Reclaim Your Identity:
✔ Affirm Yourself Daily – Start today by saying: “I am chosen, I am loved, I am God’s masterpiece.”
✔ Reject Labels That Aren’t from God – If a thought or word spoken over you doesn’t align with what God says, throw it out!
✔ Make a List of Your Strengths – Too often, we focus on what’s wrong with us. Today, write down five things that make you unique and thank God for them.
You are not your mistakes. You are not your past. You are exactly who God designed you to be—fearfully and wonderfully made. Walk in that today!
Life Hack: Feeling overwhelmed? Take a two-minute power pose! Standing tall with your hands on your hips (like Superman!) has been scientifically proven to boost confidence and reduce stress. Try it—you’ll feel the difference!
Pray this prayer with me today: Lord, remind me daily that my identity is in You. Help me to silence the voices of doubt and stand firm in who You’ve called me to be. In Jesus name-Amen
