Good Friday-Let Worship Draw You Closer!!!
“Worship Connects Us to God”
Happy Fun Friday and Good Friday, !
Tonight is our Seven Last Sayings service at 6:30 PM, and we are inviting you to show up, support those bringing the Word, and most of all—worship like never before. Bring someone with you and come ready to receive and reflect on the sacrifice of our Savior.
On Sunday, Pastor Warren reminded us that worship is connection. When the woman broke open her alabaster box, she didn’t just give a gift—she drew close to Jesus. True worship pulls you out of the crowd and brings you face to face with the Savior.
Foundational Scripture: James 4:8 (NIV) Let’s dive into the word…
Start your day with God… read James 4:4-10 focusing on 8. Come near to God and he will come near to you. One step towards God and He’ll meet you with open arms- He’s closer then you think! S.O.A.K… much love!!!
I would love to share this with you in the MSG version. It’s so good!!! James 4:8-10 Say a quiet yes to God and he'll be there in no time. Quit dabbling in sin. Purify your inner life. Quit playing the field. Hit bottom, and cry your eyes out. The fun and games are over. Get serious, really serious. Get down on your knees before the Master; it's the only way you'll get on your feet…. This right here, My God!!! Eye opener!!!
Listen, God isn’t far. He meets you where your worship leads you. When you draw close through honesty, surrender, and praise, He steps in.
Self-Care + Soul-Care Tips for Worshipful Living:
1. Take 30 minutes today to unplug. Reflect on what Jesus did for you. Let your gratitude flow into worship.
2. Write a worship letter. Pen a letter to God thanking Him for what He’s done this week—your own version of the alabaster box.
3. Plan to join us tonight at 6:30 PM and again Sunday for Resurrection Worship at 12:45 PM—come expecting a powerful encounter!
Here’s some Friday Encouragement:
Let today be more than tradition—let it be connection. Let your worship bridge the gap between pain and purpose, between sorrow and surrender.
Pray this prayer with me today:
Jesus, thank You for drawing near to me. Today, I draw near to You with worship that connects me to Your heart. In Jesus name~Amen.
Much Love 💕
